Circular Agronomics > Classifying waste streams for nutrient recovery

At Circular Agronomics, we aim to find circular solutions for nutrient use.

A new deliverable presents a detailed characterization of the waste and wastewaters originating from the food industries. We selected the five most promising waste and wastewater streams taking into account their carbon recovery, nitrogen recovery, phosphorus recovery and potassium recovery potential. For these streams and the corresponding recovery technologies four new concepts are suggested in the deliverable.

We want to show technology providers an overview of potential clients for their technologies and recovery concepts. To exemplify this, the European country with the highest production rate for each type of stream and industry was chosen and the regional distribution of the particular industries determined.
